Meet Carl Young.

Carl Young has been a Senior Consultant at Tuck Consulting Group for nearly two years now. He grew up on a wheat farm outside Fellsburg, Kansas—where his first-grade class had just five students. That small-town upbringing gave him a deep appreciation for clear systems, shared responsibility, and the power of teamwork.

Today, Carl lives in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, a scenic mountain town known for its hot springs and surrounding wilderness. Before landing there, he spent most of his professional life in Phoenix, Arizona, working with companies ranging from global giants like Pepsi, Toyota, and CIGNA to nimble startups and small businesses.

With certifications including PMP, Scrum Master, AWS Associate Architect, and an MBA, Carl brings both structure and adaptability to every engagement. He’s currently expanding his expertise with Microsoft Teams certifications. Carl specializes in helping our clients restructure teams, streamline processes, and build lasting collaboration.

Outside of work, he enjoys fishing, hiking, birdwatching, and frequenting the quieter hot springs with his wife. A former chair of the local Democratic Party, he’s currently running for the Pagosa water board and remains active in civic life.

Carl’s consulting approach blends small-town sensibility with big-city experience. He’s passionate about team building, servant leadership, and empowering people to find their own best ways of working—because the tools don’t matter nearly as much as the people using them.
